The S. Alban's Guest House (Margaret Rosemary Home) belongs to the Parish. It is situated on the North Kent coast between Whitstable and the village of Tankerton. The house lies within 15 minutes of the railway station and is on a main bus route to Canterbury. You can see a map of the location here. Whitstable itself is a delightful, traditional town, with a working harbour and renowned for its oyster production. It has the advantage of being on the sea without the features which normally characterize seaside towns. Canterbury lies 6 miles to the South and the ports of Dover and Folkstone are within easy reach. The house is known locally as Margaret Rosemary Home, as it was left to the Church in 1934 in memory of Margaret Rosemary Collins, who died in 1932 aged 22 months. The house was used as a holiday home for children and working adults, but nowadays much wider use is made of the property. However the tradition of providing low-cost holidays for school-children, pensioners and disadvantaged groups still prevails. For more details, please contact the Guest House here. Address: S.
